At Cornerstone Community Center in Shelby, NC, we believe that every child deserves love, support, and the opportunity to thrive especially those navigating the challenges of having an incarcerated parent. We are a community-rooted initiative operating out of our church, dedicated to building a stronger, more compassionate Shelby through mentoring, education, and service.

Cornerstone was founded on the principle that no child should be left behind because of circumstances beyond their control. With a focus on youth mentoring and after-school care, we guide at-risk youth with compassion and practical support, helping them grow into confident, capable individuals.

Our programs are not just about tutoring or supervision they’re about transformation. Through systematic and expository mentoring, we help young people understand the real-life consequences of destructive behavior and empower them to make positive choices. From vocational training to life skills education, we aim to uplift and prepare the next generation for a better tomorrow.
